Shotlist: Gamerz represents a new chapter in cinematic history - the Celtic campus comedy. The hero of the tale is Ralph (Ross Finbow), a peculiar young nerd from a scheme who's on his way to uni. Life's one long session of 'Neds Vs Nerd' where Ralph lives - but he escapes from this cruel reality by retreating into his darkened bedchamber and creating insanely detailed fantasy game worlds. Ralph is an alpha-nerd, and when he gets to uni he immediately takes over the fantasy role-playing society in a ruthless coup. The players soon fall under his spell. And they're almost as weird as he is: neurotic Risk Management student Davy (Johnny Austin), metal-head dropout Theology student Hank (Ross Sutherland) and, most importantly, the beautiful Marlyn (Danielle Stewart), a seriously crazy Goth chick, who honestly believes she is an elf. But there's a fly in the ointment - Ralph's old enemy from the hood - Lennie (James Young).
