Shotlist:
Me and Her explores the dynamic between two people with only their workplace in common.
Coleen is in her late thirties, working longterm as a chambermaid in a modern, inner city hotel. Damien, in his early twenties, has reluctantly taken a job alongside her during his summer break from University. Whilst killing time together Coleen and Damien have discovered an unexpected attraction to each other. During their last shift before Damien returns to his normal life, they fumble their way through hangovers, hoovering and personal insecurities until they finally confront the significance of their one-night-stand.
Me and Her captures the tensions of two worlds, whether it is between the two characters or in a wider sense, individuality versus conformity. The latter condition is represented by the hotel with its uniform corridors and rooms and the regimented routine it takes to maintain appearances.
