Description: Amateur comedy film about the Edinburgh Cine Society's picnic daytrippers crossing paths with a pair of bank robbers.

Notes supplied by Edinburgh Cine and Video Society read: "'Sup/8/11, written in file 'HIJACK or HI-JACK. Light comedy made on club picnic outing 1977. Bank robbers hijack picnic bus and get their loot mixed up with picnic food".

Shotlist: Title. Scotsman and Evening News signs' £35,000 Edinburgh Bank Raid'. C/u several £5 and £1 bank notes in rolls. Int. room, two men stuffing bank notes into 'Tartan' carrier bag. Elderly couple preparing sandwiches and flasks for picnic, which they place in similar 'McEwan's Export' carrier bag. C/u driver adjusting Edinburgh transport bus. ECS members and families board bus. Bank robbers enter red car nearby. One member late, runs after bus. Stops child on bike and buys it from them. Cycles comically along road. Bus passes sign for East coast, cyclist has flat tyre. Abandons bike and continues on foot. Passes abandoned child's scooter, which he eventually abandons. Bank robbers pull in to side of road with engine trouble. ECS outing bus stops to help. Late man flags down car. ECS bus stops with engine trouble, everybody out to push. Late member arrives at coastal picnic site. Along the way carrier bags have been switched, bank robbers have a picnic and late ECS member has money. THE END.
