Description: Students working at the Scottish Hotel School, Glasgow and the construction and launch of passenger steamers at the A. & J. Inglis shipyard, Glasgow.

Shot at the former premises of the Hotel School in Ross Hall prior to extensions in the late 1950s and '60s. Ross Hall was the family home of the Lobnitz shipping firm. Caledonian News Review produced "Britain's Historic Counties" series during the late 1940s - Essex and Hampshire are in the East Anglian Film Archive.
