Description: Anthony Eden addresses a large crowd at the Unionist and National Liberal rally and fete at Panmure House in Angus.

Anthony Eden was Prime Minister from 1955 - 1957, a few years after this film was made. Panmure House was demolished in December 1955 after it fell into disrepair. It was said to be one of the finest baronial houses in Scotland. https://www.monikie.org.uk/panmure4.htm

Simon Ramsay was MP for Angus at the time the film was made, and in 1950 inherited the title of Earl of Dalhousie from his elder brother. His family owned Panmure House as well as Brechin Castle, also in Angus.
