Carlo Roda is from the coastal town of La Spezia in northern Italy. Over the past 30 years he has collected thousands of films, from Italian Neo Realist classics to Hollywood horrors. Having once trawled shut-down cinemas and rubbish dumps for forgotten gems, his life’s work now sits in a damp, dusty warehouse. This is the story of an incredible film collection and its cynical owner, whose world is turned upside down as a group of local film lovers try to rescue, restore and bring these pieces of cinematic history back to their former glory. How will Carlo react to the invasion of his archive of dreams?
