Description: A spoof version of the ITV crime series 'The Professionals', in which a group of boys on a Sunday school picnic find a briefcase containing stolen money and capture two bank robbers.

title, over 'The Professionals' theme music - shot of parents and children gathered on street - c/u sign 'Sunday School Picnic - Cars Will Leave 2.30 Sharp' - two boys, Peter and David, read sign, woman ushers them into white Ford Cortina - tracking shot of convoy of cars on country road - the boys turn on the car radio and hear a report about a bank robbery in Carnwath - the Cortina drives along country roads and crosses a weir - the boys get out of the car, and other children are playing at the weir and on a water pipe - the boys decide to play at commandos and Peter and Kenneth head off across country, where they find a hidden brief case full of money (3.41) the bank robbers, Slim Jim and the Doc, arrive in a Ford Escort to retrieve their money, find the boys and tie them up - the picnic barbecue is ready and the children gather to eat, but they realise that Peter and Kenneth are missing, so the children go off to look for them - David sees the robbers tying them up, goes back to get the other children - they overcome the robbers and free Peter and Kenneth - the robbers are frog-marched back, put into the Cortina and driven away - David sits on the boot of the car and waves his flag, shouting, 'Well done, the Wee White Cross!' (6.54) the car drives back to Carnwath Police Station, where the sergeant doesn't at first believe that they have caught the bank robbers, but then recognises them - the boys march the robbers into the police station, where the sergeant lets them handcuff them and throw them in a cell - the sergeant congratulates the boys - ecs - THE END (9.23)
