Description: Footage of the returning expedition party from the 1902 - 1904 Antarctic expedition led by William Spiers Bruce, met on return to Scotland by veteran world traveller Sir John Murray at Millport, July 1904.

Scottish Antarctic Expedition led by William Spiers Bruce, 1902 - 1904. Yachts are the exploration ship ‘Scotia’, the ‘Gleniffer’ and ‘Triton’ belonging to the Coats family who financed the expedition to a considerable degree and who went to meet the expedition party returning.
