It is 1975 and Edinburgh hosts the first Women's World Hockey Championship.
All teams were members of the International Federation of Women's Hockey Associations. More than 400 women hockey players from 21 nations travelled to Edinburgh to contest the first ever Women's World Hockey Championship 30th August - 10 September, 1975.
