Description: Information copied from DVD sleeve:- Award winning composer Jim Sutherland's dream was to bring together 35 virtuoso and talented musicians from all over Europe, to assemble the unique La Banda Europa. In collaboration with producer Neal Butler he was able to make this dream into a reality. The musicians played a vast range of unusual and historical instruments, which had never been combined before. The strangest instrument was the ancient Celtic Carynx or Wolf Horn. It's a bronze war horn which is 6ft long and held vertically above the player's head. La Banda Europa assembled for the first rehearsal, they only had four days to perfect the composition before their first performance in Newcastle. Then they met again two weeks later for grand finale concert in Scotland. This diverse and talented group of musicians had other challenges too, such a theatrical performance in wigs and costumes, the pressure of working with new people from different cultural backgrounds, not to mention the very unpredictable British weather.
