(00:00:39:14) An unedited tape featuring Colin Young, presenter, to camera, introducing the First Reels showcase. The theme this week is fiction, or drama (00:01:40:04) exts STV building at Cowcaddens, and looking down to Buchanan Street from top of STV building - various retakes of same introduction (00.02.59.09) view looking down to Buchanan Street from top of STV building. Colin Young introduces the second of the programmes - the theme being filmmakers who have departed from mainstream drama, pack a punch and look good. Films to be introduced by film-makers themselves (00:09:12:09) Colin Young to camera, advising as there was no time to include the credits for all the film excerpts, viewers can switch their video on and 'freeze the credits later for home consumption' (00:10:30:08) as Colin Young walks to camera, he welcomes the last programme showcasing Scottish talent. The emphasis is on documentary and animation with clips introduced by film-makers themselves (00:13:26:10) c/u scissor snips, and Colin telling viewers 'that brings us to the end of the series', and that the full films will be shown at the Glasgow Film Theatre (GFT) in early November.
