Discusses:- The film is about a bagpiper who plays under the bridge of the M8 motorway in the centre of Glasgow, the underneath of which is a very unusual and interesting space. Mixture of 'old Scottish' and urban Glasgow - a naturally surreal mix between the two things. The film is on 16mm on black and white with a bit of colour and about 7 minutes long. As simple a film as possible, one character, one location. Only problem was getting the M8 empty, so they filmed very early in the morning. Isolation of the piper, makes it all the more alien and unusual. Bagpipes are a beautiful instrument, but the perfect anti-social instrument. When he starts playing you only hear the noise of cars! Some technical problems. It's also about architecture, an interesting area under the motorway with incredible scale - 'cathedral-like'
