Discusses:- Animation. A journey through the alphabet in 13 episodes [4 were done with the funding and time available] Each should be able to be viewed on their own - small 'sketches', the only thing linking them being the letters of the alphabet. Each takes from one letter to the next. Each episode is slightly surreal and 'cartoony' Using people instead of drawn characters or models lends a reality to the film. Wanted to experiment with different forms of animation - cut-outs move across the screen, scratching directly onto the film. Animating people using pixillation method allows you to do unfeasible things - such as making a woman appear to walk 'vertically'. Never made a film on this scale before. Experience with outdoor camera work, stretched his own skills and a valuable learning experience. Wanted to create events that would never normally happen in real life.
