Screened on 31st October as part of Black History Month, from 7-9pm at GMAC in a joint screening with the Scottish Academy of Asian Arts. The film was also shown on a loop at the Kelvingrove Museum, in the Scottish Wildlife Gallery.

"Flight of the Sand Martin atBaron’s Haugh. In partnership with RSPB Scotland the Scottish Refugee Council and Glasgow Media Access Centre (GMAC), and Scottish Natural Heritage, North Lanarkshire Council are working with an integrated community group on a short film project. The film will mark the journey a refugee has made to Scotland, paralleled with the journey of a bird, the sand martin, migrating from Scotland to Africa. The project will involve refugees and Scottish people and will be based within their community. Over twelve weeks the group will work with RSPB and NLC on a conservation and biodiversity programme. Participants will learn about conserving wildlife at a local level. In conjunction with this GMAC will work with participants and train them in film-making and animation."
