Shotlist: title, ext. busy road, cars passing. Man standing at roadside sign for Edinburgh/Newcastle, thumbing a lift with no luck. Family setting picnic spread in field. Brief shot vintage cars preparing to set off on road. An estate car stops, for hitchiker, he begins to load several bags in car. Tracking shot from car past fields.
