Set in Edinburgh, this is the story of a down at heel, homeless couple (Carol and George) as they struggle to dig themselves out of the squalid city underbelly and build a life / home for themselves.

The couple have found themselves dumped in a seedy underworld of pimps and petty crime but have an unshakable will to work and function in society. However, they are cruelly dealt blow after blow as hands that purport to offer help are not what they at first seem. Their salvation could turn out to be the unsteady goodwill of a bully-ish dropout gang leader, orphaned brother of Carol but despised by her partner George. Tension is heightened, and just when the couple gain something to lose...
