(0.17) Gv's of various items of silver ware, plates, jugs, cutlery. (1.08) Tools in a metal workshop. Craftsmen working at their desks shaping and decorating pieces, including a rose brooch and a stag. (1.48) Works manager issues raw materials of quaich to craftsman and a blueprint (2.15) Man cutting out a strip of metal; metal is shaped using a machine and burnisher into a base. (3.23) Metal plate shaped into a bowl on a hardwood 'former' using a burnisher; operator wears protective clothing against tallow lubricant. (5.42) silver wire is cut to the circumference of the bowl, and fitted; rim is soldered to the bowl [some shots in dark, show solder burning green] (7.04) Bowl is painted with borax; handles and base are soldered on [more shots in dark] (8.34) handles are cut and filed to shape; Hall marks stamped onto the bowl.
