Description: Amateur film shot on 8mm between 1978 and 1980 by Joe Griffiths concerning the planning, building and opening of a cairn by the Bothwellhaugh Residents Committee, on the shores of the loch in Strathclyde Country Park. Reel 3 contains sound footage with Joe Griffiths interviewing former villagers at the cairn memorial day. This cairn was built to commemorate the former mining village of Bothwellhaugh which was evacuated to make way for the man-made loch where the cairn now stands.
