Description: Brief shots of the Lowland Regiment the Cameronians leaving Glasgow Cathedral in 1918 after a ceremony where they deposited their flag in the Cathedral to commemorate the heroic services of the regiment in France. [Incomplete].

From local press coverage of the event, 6/5/1918. Old colours of the Cameronians (Scottish Rifles) already in Cathedral. Cameronians amongst first seven divisions to go to France in 1914, commemorated at a gathering in Albert Hall in Dec. 1917. The banner wrought for that occasion and at request of Major General P R Robertson, was moved to Glasgow Cathedral. Presented at service by Lieut-Col C B Vandeleur to Bailie Kennedy for the Corporation of Glasgow, Mr MacGibbon for the Kirk Session and a representative of the Board of Works.
