Found in the Playhouse, Fraserburgh. This footage was shown on Grampian Television in Jan. 1985 and identified by viewers as the wedding of the Hon. Flora Marjory Fraser (daughter of Lord Saltoun of Cairnbulg Castle) to Captain Alexander Ramsay at St. Peter's Episcopal Church, Fraserburgh.
The marriage of the Hon. Flora Fraser (now Lady Saltoun) and Captain Alexander Ramsay caught the attention of the Scottish public because the groom was a great-grandson of Queen Victoria and therefore a second cousin once removed to Queen Elizabeth II. Queen Ingrid of Denmark, consort to King Frederik IX and mother of Queen Margrethe II, is seen with the Queen Mother throughout. The Swedish-born Queen Ingrid and Captain Ramsay were first cousins, being grandchildren of Prince Arthur, Duke of Connaught, third son of Queen Victoria. The wedding took place on 6 October 1956.
