Description: A recording of a performance of Zwei Gesange, set to music by Johannes Brahms. Scottish Ballet performed Zwei Gesange in 1990 as part of their Young Europeans show. (The original tape cover states that this copy came from Massimo Moricone and it is therefore probable that this recording features Scottish Ballet?)

Following this performance there is footage of children taking part in a Scottish Ballet Steps Out workshop at Cathkin Primary School. The children are filmed in a gym hall taking part in the workshop. A woman then addresses pupils, explaining that the performance is about the Inca Tribes in Peru. The children performing are wearing masks inspired by the Inca Tribes. The children and teachers are interviewed and give their views on the experience.

The Steps Out company consisted of Caroline Laing, Jane Simpson, Kevin Denvir and John Stafford. The Director was Ann Baird. The footage was made for the Scottish Committee on Expressive Arts and was produced by Jordanhill College television unit.

Following the recordings, the tape footage on the tape is duplicated in black and white.
