Swan Lake tells the story of Prince Siegfried who falls in love with Odette, who has been transformed into a swan queen by the evil Rothbart. Siegfried is tricked into declaring his love for Odile, Rothbart’s daughter who he has transformed to look like Odette. Rather than remain a swan forever Odette chooses to die, and Siegfried chooses to die with her.
