Shotlist: Plasticine children try to plant a tree in a garden. They find a stone and uncover an ancient skeleton buried next to an old pot. The children go back in time and meet the man who is now the skeleton. The man is a stone mason, the stone mason talks to the children about what he is working on: a battle scene showing the Picts and the Northumbrians. The stone mason explains the story as a silhouette cartoon of the battle is shown. The stone mason describes the outcome of the battle and the children admire the finished stone. The stone mason talks about how the stone will last longer than he will to spread the story of the battle. Back in the garden, the children rebury the stonemason
