Description: During the summer of 1919 a Peace Pageant was held in the Borders town of Galashiels, with a parade, with a pig on a cart displaying the sign ”German Swine”, wreath laying, fancy dress and fun sports in the Park.

Shotlist: Credits (.04) Shot of group outside the Pavilion Theatre (showing May Marsh in ALL WOMAN) (.14) Shot of pipe band marching along crowded streets, followed by horse-drawn carriages. The Provost alights from the first carriage and places a wreath at the base of a memorial (out of shot). bugler plays. Provost re-enters carriage and it moves off followed by remainder of the procession, including re-united regiments, veterans of the First World War, some wearing uniform and medals, nurses, the Festival Queen of the pageant, a brass band, children wearing fancy dress, another brass band also in fancy dress, and general shots of members of the public (3.19) shots in park where procession has come to a halt.
