Description: Scenes of strikers persuading blacklegs to join their ranks.

Strike over pay and working hours was successful. Had spin-off effect to Glasgow and other cities. Shot in the dockside area of Dundee around Crichton Street. Area demolished c1920 and now the site of the Caird Hall and City Square. Probably filmed during the Dundee carters' strike, 9th-24th December, 1911.

Made from original newsreel footage in 1977 and stretched to 24 fps.
