Shotlist: Credits (.21); A miner comes out of his house, walks to the bus stop and gets the bus to work. At the pit, Wester Auchengeich near Lenzie, the bus arrives and the miners clock on, get changed into their working clothes and walk towards the pit head. Shots of the operator and winding mechanism as the cage descends (4.23); Soon after the miners go down, coal is reaching the surface - 1000 tons every day in this pit alone.
