Credits (.28); General views of unidentified Scottish town. Town's Community Centre. Two men are seen coming out of the building and one, Ian, tells the other how the town came to have a Community Centre (1.50); Ian on his way home from work thinking over the problem of what might be done to give the people of the town somewhere to go in the evenings. Shots of bored youngsters, etc. He arrives home and talks it over with his wife. He then visits the minister and they decide to try to set up a Community Centre (5.05); McDougall, the schoolmaster, organises the distribution of leaflets inviting the townsfolk to attend a meeting to try to get the centre under way. At the meeting, they discuss the problem of finding suitable premises for the ventures (7.14); A castle in Aberdeenshire, one wing of which is used by the neighbouring town (7.22); Church in Glasgow's Parliamentary Road, used as such a centre.
